A house with six rooms, an absent boss, two employees, changing guests--this is the framework for an experimental arrangement in the microcosm of the Cambodian city of Sihanoukville. In November 2004 Petra Elena Köhle and Nicolas Vermot-Petit-Outhenin took over the management of a small guesthouse. For eleven days the artists stand at the reception desk. They make notes, portraits, photographs, and documentation and speak with guests, compiling the material into an extensive record of meaningful and banal events.
